Igloo Cafe in Astoria

Good diner in Astoria. Friendly staff and keen service. Their ice-creams is the best compare to any diner in the neighborhood.

The prices are great however the chicken and waffles were kinda plain. The turkey 🥑 omelette was good.

The BEST service is really during breakfast. Visited tonight at 7;15pm. because he had an desire for a Good Burger and I recommended it to him the burger was not as good as expected instead of getting it on medium well he got a well done and the bread was cold we had to ask the waiter to warm it up and on top of that we had these little lights around and above us that was so bright That or very annoying. We asked the waiter if it were possible to have the lights dimmer and the young woman At the counter Was not very pleasant about it and she refused dim them even a little. Little does she know that we are frequent customers of that restaurant and we know the owner and all the waiters and waitresses we were very unhappy.

Food was delicious and the best treat was the owner of the Cafe taking care of us as of we were family.. Great place..

I used to be regular customer at Igloo but lately I have been receiving uncooked food. Last week I order the egg platter with hashbrown and they were raw and uncooked. I had to cook my hashbrowns for 15 minutes and to make matter worse management was giving me a difficult time to refund my money; they were only willing to give me a discount for a future order. After a tense discussion, I was finally refunded my money. Today I decided to order the same meal and once again the hashbrown were not cooked. One can get sick from eating raw food but management does not care. When I called Igloo, they blamed me for the uncooked food and would only give me a $5 refund. Once, I stated that I would write a review on my experience at Igloo, they reluctantly refunded my money. After these experiences, I am no longer a customer at this establishment. I usually do not make reviews but when it comes to these issues one should be mindful of where they are ordering food from in future.

Excellent healthy salads. Several options.Has a TV with the game on. Open till 11pm.Best diner in the area. Salads are good 9/10.Coffee is organic I think. Espresso well done.Booth seats. Outdoor area in the back during the day.

A place that will make you feel stuffed and full for the rest of the day! Went there twice, once for breakfast, their pancakes were massive and tasty and the second time for lunch and the burger was huge, i couldn't finish it all!

Great food and great service

Walked in after a workout looking for something healthy to munch on. Had a wide variety of smoothies, juices and acai bowl options. Got the berry acai bowl which was topped with strawberries blueberries, bananas, and granola. It was really refreshing! A little pricey but hey, it's fresh ingredients. Staff was super friendly too! Will be coming back; their salads looked awesome.

Great place, good atmosphere to just go get a coffee with friends.

I had the French onion soup it was terrific the waiter was very attentive

Its a great place to eat and relax food is fresh the desserts are great.

Good varied menu especially for brunch, good portions. Belgian Waffles made just right.If you like your omelettes soft not over cooked make sure you let them know I’ve been coming here for years and they often over cook the eggs. Chicken Parm panini is really goo.

Great place for Brunch or breakfast. They have a outside area in the back which is perfect in warmer weather. Great portions and the wait staff is always friendly and there when you ask for something.

This place rocks. The service was great and the food was good. Try the Turkey meatloaf if you can it's yummo. All the food was tasty no matter what we ordered and they have a variety of tastes for different palates so don't be shy when visiting. Let them know what you like and they will fix it.

Great food, wonderful service!

I've only had their catering but the Mac and Cheese is delicious - creamy sauce that really sticks to the noodles. Meatballs are well sized, properly seasoned, and moist. Very filling meals. Will definitely be ordering pickup in the future.

This old school diner turned out to be my favorite hangout in Astoria. Their eggs and potatoes breakfast is perfect every time and cheap! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The space is inviting and comfortable. Everything everything! There are trendier more modern (and more expensive) places, just across the street for example, but this place has a much cozier vibe.

Me and my friends stopped here as it was near last subway stop on way to airport. The food was amazing. I got a pressed sandwich and it was so good! My friend got mac n cheese which was best i ever had. They had a huge menu and lots of good choices. They served beer, not sure about booze or wine. A must stop if you are in Queens!

A no-thrills diner in upper Queens. It has all your standard diner items done well. Nothing to write home about, but if you want a quick bite to eat and want a variety of choices, is a good place to go. The service is usually great so no complaints there.

Great service, vibe, and food. The outdoor seating is absolute perfection. One of my favorite casual eats in Astoria.

Excellent cafe, i get fresh squeezed oj, country style waffes with strawberries, banana and whip cream, 2 egss with bacon. Best breakfast ever!

This is a great spot for an enjoyable diner experience and atmosphere. The staff here is kind and accommodating for any particular dining preferences and/or customizations. The menu also has a sufficient range of options. Only reason I'd take away a star is because the ingredients used could be of a higher quality and kept fresher when compared to surrounding competitors, but otherwise this spot is worth checking out!

We like it for good simple breakfasts. They have 12-15 kinds of omlettes. They are pretty good (not great) and at a reasonable price. Service is very good. We'll definitely come back.

This place was a totally legit breakfast. I had the Belgian waffle and was really impressed. Decent eggs. The real maple syrup cost something like three bucks extra so that wasn't all that cool, but I'm from NH and we're used to the real stuff here.So, good breakfast, but a wee bit pricey. Good stuff. Recommended. Just don't stress the bill.

Great local diner. They are spacious and even have a backyard area to eat outside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Good for kids as they have high chairs and coloring books. Their juice bar is great and I love getting their freshly squeezed orange/carrot juice. This is my go to local brunch spot.

Igloo is really consistent, and with the things they do well they generally always do them well. Their diner fare is a safe bet, as are most of the dinner specials. Their sweet breakfast items (like waffles) are somewhat on the weak side, not bad, but nothing really exciting. I'm not a huge fan of their wraps. Decent and sort of gigantic salads. The ice cream and shakes and smoothies are really good here.

I have ordered food here a couple of times and sometimes they are nice enough to deliver it to my location. Which is a little out their delivery zone. The food is great!! The only thing was the acai bowl. It is not that great compare to other ones. I believe they're pre-made because it was frozen. So I couldn't eat it right away. It also loses its flavor when it gets defrosted. Other than that, I still will order from here in the future.

Meal was delicious, fairly well priced and on my table within about 5 minutes. I was very happy. Freshly made whipped cream which was good too. Service was sound however there is a lot of room for improvement in the environment. If it weren't for the fake flowers (ugh!) and ripped seat cover then I would have been more generous in my rating.

Walked in and ordered breakfast to go. Food was delicious, and the gentleman who took my order gave me a free cup of coffee while I waited. Love to see people who still believe in customer service.

We had great breakfasts here with friendly service at fair prices

We, 4 of us enjoyed the food and service very much. However, as it got to 11:15am on Saturday, the noise in the back room where we sat, just before their out door patio, was truly unbearable and one had to raise ones voice just to be heard. That was very disturbing!

Excellent staff, the food was also excellent and delivered hot even though I don't live right nearby. Will be ordering from this place again! Dr. Mike
